Watch Around Water

Knox Leisureworks is an accredited Watch Around Water Facility. The Water Around Water guidelines have been developed by Aquatics & Recreation Victoria and Life Saving Victoria to educate the public about adequate supervision and to encourage parent/guardians to take on this responsibility when visiting a public aquatic facility

Watch Around Water (WAW) Policy

Children under 5 years of age

Children under 5 years old:

  • Must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible parent / guardian
  • Must be constantly and actively supervised during recreational play within arm’s reach
  • Supervising parent of a child under 5 is required to wear a yellow Watch Around Water wristband.
Children under 10 years of age

Children under 10 years old:

  • Must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible parent / guardian
  • Must be constantly and actively supervised

The parent / guardian must be positioned to have a clear view of the child with no physical or structural barriers between them and the child / children.

Children over 10 years of age

Children over 10 years old:

  • For children 10 years and older, parents must use their knowledge of the child’s swimming ability and general development to determine the level of accompaniment required

Conditions of Entry

Knox Leisureworks is a non-smoking facility

Please note that Knox Leisureworks is a non-smoking facility. Any smoking on the premises will not be tolerated.

Age restrictions & supervision

No child under the age of 10 is permitted to enter the premises except where the child is supervised by a responsible adult.

Adults must be 16 years of age of older.

Alcohol & Illicit substances

Alcohol and drugs are prohibited on the premise and we will refuse entry to anyone under the influence.

Personal Property

You must not leave personal property unattended other than in a secured locker. We do not take responsibility for your possessions during your time at the facility.


We encourage family friendly behaviour. Abusive, disruptive  and offensive actions are not permitted.

Camera use, photography & video recording

You must not use a camera or other audio or visual recording device without the prior consent of management.

Facility Damage

Patrons will be liable for any wilful damage to fittings, fixtures or equipment.

Removal from facility

Management reserves the right to refuse entry or to remove a patron for breaking facility rules.

Merchandise Refund Policy

Please note that we do not offer refunds for goggles & swimwear once purchased. We highly recommend trying on a pair in our change room or speaking to customer service for assistance.

We do not accept refunds for purchased goods unless they are returned within 14 days and are unused. Please ensure you bring proof of purchase to our reception if you are wanting to organise a refund on merchandise.
