Knox City Council

From the first time beginner to the seasoned student, our award winning Swimming Lessons at Knox Leisureworks runs to help your child develop aquatic confidence and the skills to ability to swim both independently and safely.

Our program is designed to deliver a full range of key skills, including strokes such as freestyle, backstroke and breathing techniques. Running in our indoor heated pools, your child will be able to learn with highly qualified teachers in a family friendly environment.

Our lessons will also aim to develop key water safety and survival skills. These personal survival skills are able to improve safety, not only at the pool but also in other waterways such as rivers, lakes and the ocean. We challenge students to participate in simulated open water conditions and then to think for themselves about how to transfer these skills to other situations.
